Michael Pitt in trouble for borrowing car
Actor Michael Pitt reportedly had a brush with the law after he allegedly borrowed a car from the set of a clothing company commercial without permission.
The Boardwalk Empire star was filming an advert for the Rag & Bone brand in New York City when he allegedly took the vintage vehicle, which was being used as a prop, for a ride with the director of photography, according to the New York Daily News.
The publication reports the owner of the car became concerned when
he noticed it was missing and alerted the police.
A source says, "Pitt was gone for about 20 minutes and didn't
answer his phone. He didn't have a driver's license with him. The
owner freaked out and told the NYPD officer doing traffic control
on set."
The car was returned safely, and no charges were filed, but the
publication reports the police officer reported the incident to the
New York Mayor's Office.
