Meek Mill hands out Christmas presents at Philadelphia group home
Rapper Meek Mill helped to surprise children in a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania group home by handing out presents to them over the Christmas holiday (24-25Dec13).
The Ambition hitmaker presented the boys, who live at the local group home, with food, books, clothing, TVs, sneakers and an Xbox One, according to HipHopWired.com.
During the visit, he warned the young men not to turn to crime to
get ahead in life, stating, "Everybody's been through it before,
man. When you get out (of) here, man, just make sure you do what
you got to do, and don't let none of this hold you back.
"People dying out here everyday. People dying everyday. It's either
you want money, you want to take care of family, better yourself,
or you want to do the other two. And the other two ain't nice,
man."
The Christmas present handout is not the only act of kindness the
rapper has done for underprivileged people in his hometown - in
November (13), he hosted a Thanksgiving food drive, where he handed
out 600 free turkeys to the poor and needy.
