Martin Garrix teases collaboration with Justin Bieber
Martin Garrix has confirmed he will release music with his pal Justin Bieber.
The 20-year-old producer and DJ, real name Martijn Garritsen, is one of the biggest names in electronic music after coming to prominence in 2013 with smash hit Animals which has reportedly sold more than 10 million copies to date.
And the Dutch producer has already collaborated with a variety of
stars across genres, including Ed Sheeran, Usher, Avicii, and
Tiesto.
The musical pals enjoyed an impromptu road trip in Los Angeles with
music video director Rory Kramer in May (16), when it was first
rumoured the Sorry singer had been recording with Garrix.
Garrix confirmed he and 22-year-old Bieber are currently "throwing
ideas around" and he is confident a song will be recorded.
"I'm still in the process of throwing ideas around," he explained
in an interview with MailOnline.
"For us both there's no hurry, no rush in making music together.
There will be a song in the future."
On Tuesday Billboard reported the DJ and producer had inked a new
worldwide agreement with Sony Music International.
Garrixx said in a press release to Billboard: "I’m super excited to
be working with such a hungry and passionate team at Sony Music
Entertainment. Their forward thinking approach to streaming and
incredible roster of talented artists combined with their passion
and understanding for my vision of the future of my music made this
a no brainer."
His first release with Sony will be Name of Love featuring Bebe
Rexha, which is released on Friday (29July16).
