Mariah Carey renewed vows at Disneyland to top previous Parisian anniversary
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon decided to shut down Disneyland to renew their wedding vows in a bid to beat their romantic fourth wedding anniversary in France.
The Hero hitmaker donned a princess-style bridal gown when she walked down the aisle with Cannon once again in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle at the California amusement park last week (30Apr13).
The extravagant event also acted as a birthday party for the
couple's son Moroccan and daughter Monroe, who were born on their
third wedding anniversary in 2011.
Cannon has now revealed the pair decided to go all out and have a
fairytale fifth wedding anniversary so it would top the Paris trip
they enjoyed last year (12).
He tells E! News, "Last year, we did the kids' first birthday and
our fourth wedding anniversary in Paris in the Eiffel Tower, so it
was like, 'How are we gonna top that?'
"And the thing was, that was great, but we didn't have the
opportunity to invite family and friends because we were out there,
so we were like, this time, we need a place that everyone can come
to. And, you know, shut down Disneyland.
"We both like to dress up, that's what we love to do and that's
keeping that fun going. I don't know what we're gonna do next year,
I think we're just gonna keep it simple. Maybe we'll do hillbilly
wedding or something."
