Margot Robbie honoured with breakthrough award
Actress Margot Robbie has been named the breakthrough star of 2014 at the Australians in Film (AiF) Awards ceremony.
The Wolf of Wall Street actress received the honour at a gala dinner on Sunday night (26Oct14) at the Fairmont Miramar hotel in Los Angeles.
The ceremony celebrates the success of Australia's stars, and
Robbie's fellow native, The Giver star Brenton Thwaites, also
received a breakthrough award.
Receiving the honour, Robbie told guests, "Thank you for giving me
far more credit than I deserve."
Others who were celebrated at the annual event include film
producer Greg Coote, who passed away earlier this year (14). He and
Anthony LaPaglia were honoured with the Orry-Kelly award, which is
given to those who have helped fellow Australians find success in
the movie industry.
