Make-up artist accuses Kylie Jenner of 'stealing' her artwork again
Kylie Jenner has again been accused of plagiarizing another of her promotional images from make-up artist Vlada Haggerty.
Last December (15) Vlada took to social media to point out similarities between a snap of heavily glossed rose gold lips she shared on Instagram and a picture later posted by Kylie, without a credit, to her Instagram account. And on Sunday (27Nov16), the California based make-up artist once again rallied against the youngest member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan after she posted an ad for her new holiday collection which looks almost identical to a photo shared by Vlada on Instagram back in September (16).
Vlada's shot shows model Britt Rafuson posing with her heavily
glossed lips in an open-mouthed pout. The model's hands are crossed
over her eyes and covered in a shiny gold powder. The stunning
photo was shot by professional photographer Julia Kuzmenko McKim
and was liked by 32,000 of her almost 500,000 followers.
Earlier this month (Nov16) Kylie Cosmetics reportedly posted a new
campaign photo on Instagram, shot by photographer Marcelo Cantu,
for its holiday collection. Kylie's photo also shows a close-up of
a model's face, with pouting red lips and gold dust-covered hands
positioned over the eyes.
Later that day Vlada shared a side-by-side comparison of the photos
on Instagram, highlighting their similarities, with the comment:
"Really @kyliecosmetics? Haven't you gotten enough "inspiration"
from me already?".
Her fans were also quick to comment, with some blasting Kylie's
promo shot as a "cheap copy", while others commented with snake
emojis. The photo has now been removed from Kylie's Instagram
account.
According to gossip website TMZ.com, Vlada and photographer Julia
Kuzmenko McKim have threatened to file a lawsuit against the Kylie
Lipkit make-up mogul.
