Magic Johnson's son undergoes gastric sleeve surgery

Basketball icon Earvin 'Magic' Johnson's son EJ has undergone gastric sleeve surgery in a desperate bid to slim down.

EJ Johnson, who stars on reality show #RichKids of Beverly Hills, decided to seek professional help with his weight this summer (14) and discussed his operation plans during the TV show's season finale, which aired on Sunday (28Sep14).

On the last episode, the 22 year old said, "A lot of people think it's the easy way out, but it's not.

"I feel very mature, kind of in the right place for it and I'm very ready to look cute. The surgery is a huge deal for me and it will certainly be a positive change."

Johnson, who 'came out' as a gay man last year (13), reportedly went through with the weightloss surgery to reduce the size of his stomach in early August (14), shortly after filming on #RichKids of Beverly Hills wrapped, according to Eonline.com.
