Madonna performs with Nelly Furtado

Madonna surprised the crowd at a show in Toronto, Canada by performing with Nelly Furtado.

The veteran pop star took her Rebel Heart tour to the city on Monday night (05Oct15).

Towards the end of the show at the Air Canada Centre, the first of two dates at the venue, she introduced the night's guest star.

Madonna brought out Canadian singer Nelly, who debuted a new short hairstyle, for a saucy segment.

The pair performed together during Madonna's track Unapologetic B.....

The Holiday star documented the show in a series of pictures posted on her Instagram.com page, and in one snap, she is seen handing Nelly a banana.

She also wrote the message, "Thank you Nelly for... tonight!!"

Madonna has previously performed with other guest stars during the tour.

Comedienne Amy Schumer took to the stage with her idol after opening her shows in New York.

The Material Girl's collaborator Diplo also took part in a segment during the opening concert in Montreal, Canada.
