Macklemore reveals touching tattoo of daughter's name
American rapper Macklemore has shown his love for his infant daughter Sloane by tattooing her name on his chest.
The Dance Off musician became a father last year (15) when his then fiancee Tricia Davis gave birth to their daughter, Sloane Ava Simone Haggerty on 29 May.
Following her birth, Macklemore, real name Ben Haggerty, and Tricia
were married on 27 June (15).
With Sloane's first birthday less than two weeks away, the rapper's
wife documented the 32-year-old star's love for his little one by
posting an adorable snap of him cuddling her on Instagram.
The photograph also showed a topless Macklemore had inked his
daughter's name on to his chest.
The hip hop star's new body art is not the only way he has
expressed his devotion to his offspring; in April (16) he shared
her first steps with fans by uploading a video online, and in
August last year he, long time collaborator Ryan Lewis, and British
singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran released a track titled Growing Up
(Sloane's Song) about the joys of raising the tot.
Growing Up appears on his and Lewis' latest album This Unruly Mess
I've Made, released in February (16).
The album features collaborations with a number of big names,
including hip hop superstar KRS-One, Chance the Rapper and British
actor and musician Idris Elba.
Dance Off, Macklemore's collaboration with Idris, soared to the top
of Billboard's Trending 140 Chart, which rates songs by how much
they are shared on Twitter, upon the release of its video on
Tuesday (17May16).
