M.I.A. video pulled from Internet by record label bosses

M.I.A. experienced a staggered release for her self-directed new video for Double Bubble Trouble (DBT) because bosses at her record label pulled the promo minutes after it went live on Monday (19May14).

It is not clear why Universal Music Group officials initially removed the politically-charged video, which features random and masked people making weapons, from YouTube.com, but it was available again on Monday afternoon following a backlash from fans, who swarmed social media sites to blast the fact the promo was no longer available.

M.I.A. tweeted, "My label has my video , they havnt (sic) uploaded for 4 days > they wont let me upload > whats is the point (sic)?"

However, once the matter was resolved, a happy M.I.A. added, "MIA DBT VIDEO UNBLOCKED !!! @UMG THANKX (sic)."
