Expectant father Louis Tomlinson reportedly donated $3.2 million to a children's charity at a ball he hosted in London on Monday night (10Aug15).

The One Direction singer, who is expecting a child with stylist Briana Jungwirth, was supported by his mother Johannah Deakin and bandmate Liam Payne at London's Natural History Museum as he hosted the Cinderella Ball for sick children in the U.K.

Tomlinson took to the podium at the start of the event to welcome guests, saying, "Thank you very much everybody for coming. It is an incredible privilege for me and my mum to work with (charity) Believe in Magic. Their work is totally inspiring... so we didn't hesitate when asked to come to this fantastic ball... Thank you very much to everyone that's helped make this night happen and thanks to everyone sat here supporting the cause. It really does mean a lot."

An auction was held to raise funds for Believe in Magic, the charity behind the ball, and Tomlinson reportedly donated $3.2 million to the cause, according to Britain's The Sun newspaper.

Payne reportedly paid $80,000 to get his face painted like a tiger, and their bandmate Niall Horan, who was absent, donated a guitar.

After the event, Tomlinson wrote on Twitter.com, "Wow,what an incredible night! I hope (founders) Meg, Jean and my beautiful Mum feel very proud for creating such a fantastic night for everyone!!!... Thank you so much for everyone who helped and attended tonight!!"
