Lindsay Lohan's amfAR gala dress returned in tatters - report
Lindsay Lohan has been accused of ruining the borrowed designer gown she wore to the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) gala earlier this month (Feb13) after allegedly hacking off the bottom half of the dress.
The Mean Girls star was photographed at the glitzy New York bash in a beaded, floor-length Theia outfit, but when it was returned to the fashion house, the $1,750 dress was in tatters.
Pictures obtained by UsMagazine.com show the gown now with a
roughly-cut high-low hem, and a source says, "She said that the
dress had ripped (at a club after the fundraiser) - she couldn't
possibly wear it like that - so her stylist friend went to the club
bouncer and requested some scissors to repair the torn part of the
dress."
Lohan wore the designer item after declining a generous offer from
actor Charlie Sheen - to pay for style guru Phillip Block to dress
her for the 6 February (13) party.
Sheen, who met Lohan on the set of the upcoming Scary Movie 5, had
previously shared his wealth with the troubled actress by lending
her $100,000 to settle her hefty tax debts.
