Lindsay Lohan: 'Falling in love is exhausting'

Lindsay Lohan has reflected on the difficulties of dating a man eight years her junior in an Instagram post.

The Mean Girls actress recently celebrated her 30th birthday on the Greek island of Mykonos with her loved ones, including 22-year-old fiance Egor Tarabasov, and during her trip she reflected on the problems of the age gap.

"Falling in love in exhausting.... Especially when you're the older woman and have already seen it all," she wrote on Instagram besides a black and white picture of her laying on an outdoor couch. "#love is the most important thing at the end of the day #serenity."

According to Britain's The Sun newspaper, Lindsay posted the message over the weekend (09-10Jul16) after she had a fight with Egor at the island's Chinawhite beach club. She reportedly threw his cell phone into the sea and he threw a drink over her in a heated argument, but her representative played down the dispute by telling the publication it was “all in jest”.

However, the actress later shared a loved-up selfie with Egor and filled the caption with love heart emojis and the praying hands symbol. On Monday (11Jul16), she added a picture of her, Egor and three other friends posing for the camera. She wrote, "Good times with good peeps," with more heart and praying emojis.

The couple, who reportedly began dating less than a year ago, sparked engagement rumors in April (16) when Lindsay was spotted wearing a sparkler on her ring finger at a Duran Duran concert. Her spokesperson denied the reports, but her father Michael confirmed the news.

Lindsay was also seen wearing the ring when the couple made their first red carpet appearance at the Caudwell Children’s Butterfly Ball in June (16).

Lindsay turned 30 on 2 July (16) and videos from her party in Greece show Egor giving a speech in which he called her "the most important thing in my life". She told the crowd, "God bless you all. Everybody's that's here has been an incredible figure and source of love."
