Lindsay Lohan banned from Chateau Marmont
Lindsay Lohan has been banned from her favourite Los Angeles hotel after failing to settle a $46,350 bill.
The Mean Girls star racked up the debt during her 47-day stay at the exclusive Chateau Marmont during the months of June and July (12), ordering room service meals, cigarettes and candles, and spending more than $3,000 on drinks from the mini-bar.
In a letter to Lohan dated 31 July (12), general manager Philip
Pavel cites "repeated attempts to resolve this pressing matter"
before asking the star to vacate her suite by 1 August (12).
Pavel also warns Lohan she is no longer welcome at the celebrity
hotspot, writing, "I regret to inform you that we will no longer be
able to extend any further credit for you to remain in the
hotel.
"Furthermore, until we get the matter of your outstanding debt
paid, know that we will be unable to host you on property or in the
restaurant."
Lohan's itemised hotel bill, newly obtained by TMZ.com, indicates
she bought 49 packs of cigarettes while living at the hotel for a
total of $686, while her mini-bar tab cost $3,145.
She also spent $1,992 at the Chateau Marmont restaurant on 4 July
(12) - two days after her 26th birthday.
