Lily Allen perfecting album before release
Lily Allen has warned fans they face an extended wait before she makes her pop comeback, as she wants to ensure her new songs are "amazing" before releasing them.
The British pop star hung up her microphone in 2009 to focus on motherhood, but she has recently been spending time in the studio with hit-making producer Greg Kurstin.
However, the Smile singer's main concern is her second pregnancy
and she insists it may take a while before she is ready to focus on
music again.
She tells Britain's NME magazine, "I'm just tinkering away. I'm not
going to put anything out until I've got an end product which I
think's amazing. Or, you know, good. I don't think there's going to
be anything out in the next few months. But hopefully in the next
year."
Allen's last release, It's Not Me, It's You, hit retailers in early
2009.
