Lawyers for Lil Wayne have threatened website bosses with a lawsuit unless they remove a sex tape allegedly starring the rapper.

Editors at urban blog Hollywood Street Kings have been told to remove the video within five days, TMZ.com reported on Friday (16Oct15).

The hip-hop star, real name Dwayne Carter, Jr., allegedly stars in the video with two girls, wearing nothing but his socks.

The rapper's legal team wrote to the blog's owners, telling them, "We hereby demand that you immediately cease the use, exploitation and/or distribution of the Video and that you deliver all copies, including electronic copies, of the same to us or destroy such copies immediately and that you desist from this or any other infringement of Mr. Carter's rights in the future."

The rapper's representative told TMZ.com that if the sex tape is real, the star had no idea it was being filmed.
