Liberty Ross: 'I felt incredibly vulnerable after cheating scandal'
Actress/model Liberty Ross has credited a New York Fashion Week catwalk appearance with kickstarting her recovery after her husband Rupert Sanders' cheating scandal, revealing she felt "incredibly vulnerable" after news of his fling with Kristen Stewart first emerged.
The director and his Snow White and the Huntsman leading lady made headlines in July (12) when photos of them kissing in a secluded car park emerged.
The pair confessed to the fling and publicly apologized to their
significant others - Ross and Twilight hunk Robert Pattinson.
The affair drove a wedge between the couples and Pattinson and
Stewart briefly split, while Ross and Saunders struggled to keep
their marriage together.
Ross has now spoken out about the aftermath of the scandal,
revealing a New York Fashion Week catwalk appearance for designer
Alexander Wang in September (12) helped her regain her personal
strength.
In an interview with Net-a-Porter's digital magazine The Edit, she
says, "It was a defining moment and I felt honored to be supported
by him (Wang) during that difficult time.
"I was not in a good way at that point in my life and felt
incredibly vulnerable. Doing the show was daunting, but it was
wonderful to get up there, show my strength and shine for someone
who believes in me. I was very grateful."
Ross and Saunders reconciled but split over Christmas (12) and the
model filed for divorce in January (13).
