Liam Payne's cousin auditions for The Voice

One Direction star Liam Payne's cousin Ross Harries is hoping to follow in his relative's footsteps after auditioning for a spot on U.K. talent show The Voice.

Harries, who has tasted success as a drummer for acts like The Saturdays and Ella Henderson, will sing Usher's Good Kisser for show judges while performing behind the kit.

His audition will air on the popular show on Saturday (31Jan15).

Payne found success as a member of One Direction after the boy band finished third on the seventh season of British singing competition The X Factor in 2010.
