Liam Payne owns Harry Potter car

One Direction star Liam Payne is such a massive Harry Potter fan he paid a small fortune for a flying Ford Anglia which featured in the film franchise.

The 22-year-old pop singer, who celebrated his birthday in August (15) by throwing a Potter-themed party complete with a cake designed to resemble a book of spells, has revealed he now owns the Weasley family car from The Chamber of Secrets.

"I bought the Harry Potter car and I put it in my garden," Liam tells the BBC. "You know the blue car, the flying car? I bought one because I'm a bit of a geek."

And Payne is also an official member of Harry Potter's school house, Gryffindor after signing up online.

"I did the test on the website," Liam smiles. "My friend got Hufflepuff and I got Gryffindor. He was so annoyed."
