Lewis Hamilton celebrates Grand Prix win with Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber was among the first to congratulate racing driver Lewis Hamilton on his big Monaco Grand Prix win on Sunday (29May16).

The British Formula One star claimed pole position at the Circuit de Monaco in Monte Carlo, and just after he crossed the finish line, he hopped out of his car and was greeted with an ecstatic congratulatory hug from Bieber, who was waiting on the side of the track for him.

The rest of Hamilton's racing team soon joined him and Bieber in a celebratory huddle, and the driver even handed his oversized champagne bottle to the Sorry singer, who took a swig of the beverage before it was sprayed all over Hamilton's crew.

Bieber later took to Twitter.com to share a snap of himself speaking with his friend on the track, writing, "Congrats to my brother @LewisHamilton on an amazing victory."

Bieber was just one of the many celebrities who witnessed Hamilton come out victorious - racer/actor Patrick Dempsey was spotted at the event, as well as actress Gabrielle Union, her husband and basketball pro Dwyane Wade, and his Miami Heat teammate Chris Bosh.

Bosh is also a close friend of Hamilton's, and on Saturday (28May16) the two enjoyed some downtime in the Mediterranean Sea. Hamilton took to Snapchat to share a video of Bosh zooming down a giant inflatable water slide from a yacht into the water.

Hamilton's Monaco win marks his first victory of the 2016 season, as he hasn't won a race since last season's United States Grand Prix. He will be back on the racing track next month (Jun16) when he heads to Bieber's native Canada, as the teams head to Montreal for the Canadian Grand Prix.
