LeAnn Rimes receives backing from husband's ex-wife over treatment
Eddie Cibrian's ex-wife has offered an olive branch to the actor's current partner Leann Rimes after the singer checked into a clinic to deal with "anxiety and stress" issues, insisting she wishes the star "all the best" in her treatment.
The Blue singer checked herself into a 30-day in-patient program on Wednesday (29Aug12), the day after she turned 30.
She told fans, "This is just a time for me to emotionally check out
for a second and take care of myself and come back in 30 days as
the best 30-year-old woman I can be.
"All the things in my life will be there when I get out, but you
know what? I'm hoping they're not going to affect me as much. I'll
have the tools to know how to deal with them."
Rimes has now received an unlikely supporter in reality TV star
Brandi Glanville - the woman Cibrian left to be with the singer in
2009.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, who has previously
criticized Rimes in the press on several occasions, says in a
statement to magazine Us Weekly, "I totally support LeAnn's
decision to enter rehab - my top priority is my children, and at
the end of the day we are a family.
"LeAnn is their stepmom, and they love her. I am wishing her all
the best and I hope she will find what she is looking for while in
rehab."
On Thursday (30Aug12), Rimes launched legal action against two
women who are said to be friends of Glanville, accusing Kimberly
and Lexi Smiley of invasion of privacy by releasing excerpts of a
taped phone call she made to them over alleged abusive messages
sent via Twitter.com.
