Lamar Odom may escape drugs charges - report
Lamar Odom may escape drugs charges after an alleged cocaine binge which landed him in a coma while at a brothel in Nevada in October (15), according to a report.
The former basketball player was allegedly high on cocaine and had consumed alcohol when he was found unconscious at the Love Ranch Brothel on 13 October (15). He had suffered several strokes, and his organs - including his kidneys - were failing.
At the time, the Sheriff in Nye County, Nevada, said there was a
strong chance that Lamar would be prosecuted for cocaine
possession.
However, law enforcement sources have now told editors at TMZ.com
that the Nye County District Attorney is considering the sports
star's medical condition and mental state before deciding whether
to charge him.
Lamar has improved since his hospitalization, but he is barely able
to speak and his cognitive functions are severely impaired. TMZ.com
reports the estranged husband of Khloe Kardashian may not even be
legally competent to stand trial if he is prosecuted.
A representative for Lamar has yet to comment on the report.
