Lady Gaga sparks Adele duet rumors

Lady Gaga has sparked rumors of a collaboration with Adele after posting a photo of the two hitmakers together on Instagram on Thursday (22Jan15).

The Born This Way hitmaker teased fans by taking to social media and sharing a selfie of herself alongside the British soul star, along with the caption, "Nothing like a Wednesday night bro-down (sic) with the beautiful Adele".

The snap led many fans to believe the friends are taking their talents into the recording studio together, especially since Gaga posted a photo of her writing music with a guitar player just hours before.

Reports of a possible collaboration surfaced last year (14), when one insider told the U.K.'s Daily Star newspaper that their "plan is to get in the studio together in L.A. in the New Year", adding, "Adele has started work on a song she thinks would make a perfect piano-led duet."

Meanwhile, Adele's highly anticipated follow-up to her Grammy-winning album 21 is expected to be released later this year (15), while Gaga is back in the studio working on her next solo album, after promoting Cheek to Cheek, her jazz standards record with Tony Bennett.
