A$AP Rocky makes movie debut
Rapper A$Ap Rocky has made his movie debut in Forest Whitaker's new coming-of-age story Dope.
The Wild For The Night star landed a supporting role in the drama, about a young hip-hop fan growing up in a rough neighborhood in Inglewood, California.
The film, which also stars Zoe Kravitz and features appearances
from fellow rappers Tyga and Odd Future associates Vince Staples
and Casey Veggies, as well as Sean 'Diddy' Combs' son Quincy Brown,
is set to premiere this week (begs19Jan15) at Robert Redford's
Sundance Film Festival in Utah, which opened on Thursday
(22Jan15).
A$AP Rocky previously tried out his acting skills in the video for
singer Lana Del Rey's 2012 track National Anthem, portraying former
President John F. Kennedy, while he began writing the script for a
short film for MTV in 2013.
