Lady Gaga reveals friends' betrayal after hip injury
Lady Gaga has opened up about the devastating hip injury that left her sidelined last year (13), revealing it made her realize some people in her life were using her for her fame.
Last year (13), the Applause hitmaker was forced to cancel most of her North American dates for the Born This Way Ball tour in order to undergo surgery to repair her hip.
And in an post to her fans on the website LittleMonsters.com, Gaga
confesses that she lost some of closest confidantes in the
process.
She writes, "My heart breaks from the people I have trusted and
loved who I’ve worked so closely with, who have used me, lied to
me, worked me into the ground for the personal gain.
"When I woke up in the hospital after my surgery there were many
people that were not there. My health did not matter. I did not
matter unless I could perform. This is a very hard lesson."
Gaga, who is set to kick off her artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball Tour in
May (14), also split from her longtime manager, Troy Carter, in
November (13).
