Lady Gaga and Beyonce to record duets with Barbra Streisand
Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Michael Buble and John Mayer are among the stars who have signed up to record songs with Barbra Streisand for a new duets album.
The news was confirmed by producer Walter Afanasieff, who will join Kenny 'Babyface' Edmonds behind the controls for the album.
Afanasieff has posted a message about his new project on his
website, revealing the record will also feature Streisand's recent
collaborations with Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder, Bette Midler and
Billy Joel.
The message reads, "Barbra Streisand... New duets album...
Co-producing with Kenny 'Babyface' Edmonds the new Barbra Streisand
duets album. Which will feature singers and musicians like Lionel
Richie, Babyface, Blake Shelton, Stevie Wonder, Josh Groban,
Michael Buble, Lady Gaga, Bette Midler, Andrea Bocelli, Beyonce,
Billy Joel, John Mayer and many others..."
The veteran singer previously released a collection of her recorded
duets in 2002. The album, titled simply Duets, featured
collaborations with Barry Manilow, Ray Charles, Celine Dion and
Neil Diamond.
