Kylie Jenner violates New York City tattoo laws
Kylie Jenner has landed celebrity tattoo artist Bang Bang in trouble with New York City authorities after practising her art skills on his skin.
Kim Kardashian's half-sister, 18, headed to Bang Bang Tattoos on Monday (09Nov15) for some new ink and after the session, the skin artist agreed to let Kylie take control of the tattoo gun.
Video footage of the incident was posted on social media app
SnapChat, and now it has caught the attention of officials at the
Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, who are upset because the
Keeping Up with the Kardashians star does not have a license to
tattoo and therefore violated health and safety laws. As a result,
Bang Bang could be slapped with a hefty fine, ranging anywhere from
$300 to $1,000 , according to TMZ.com.
It's not the first time Bang Bang, real name Keith McCurdy, has
risked a penalty for his celebrity friends - he previously allowed
Justin Bieber to give him a tattoo of a muscular mouse with the
word "swaggy", while Katy Perry and Chris Brown have also
previously tested their ink skills on him.
Kylie's trip to Bang Bang Tattoos occurred hours after she attended
the Glamour Women of the Year Awards, where she supported her
father, transgender Olympian Caitlyn Jenner, who was honored with
the Transgender Champion Prize at Manhattan's Carnegie Hall.
However, the teen had to hit the red carpet in a casual denim
jacket, black crop top, pants and sneakers after suffering a
clothing disaster.
"Had some major wardrobe malfunctions," she explained on Instagram,
"but that couldn't stop me from supporting the ones I love. You're
amazing @caitlynjenner congrats on being woman of the year for
@glamourmag."
Caitlyn, meanwhile, dressed up in a royal blue and black Moschino
gown as she was celebrated beside fellow honorees including Reese
Witherspoon and Victoria Beckham.
