Kylie Jenner to be quizzed over Tyga gifts
Kylie Jenner has reportedly agreed to be questioned by lawyers pursuing her boyfriend Tyga over an alleged $208,330 unpaid debt to a jeweller.
During the American reality TV star's on-off 18 month relationship with the Rack City rapper he has lavished her with gifts, including a $189,000 Mercedes-Benz Maybach car bought as a birthday present last month (Aug16).
Even as he has splashed the cash on Kylie, the musician, real name
Micheal Ray Stevenson, has been pursued for debts that have
allegedly gone unpaid.
Staff at the Jason of Beverly Hills jewellery store have hired
lawyers in a bid to compel the 26-year-old to pay the $208,330 they
claim he still owes them.
According to editors at TMZ.com, documents show Kylie has agreed to
be quizzed by the shop's legal team about her boyfriend's finances
and the gifts she has received from him during their
relationship.
The lawyers are reportedly set to meet both Kylie and Tyga in the
next two weeks, and will request a judge issue a warrant for their
arrest if they do not turn up for the meetings.
Attorneys Danny Abir and Boris Treyzon, are the same legal team who
successfully pursued a similar strategy in getting Tyga to settle a
dispute over $480,000 in unpaid rent, damages, compensation for
alleged vandalism, and legal fees with a former landlord last
month.
Tyga's jewellery debt dates back to January 2014, when a judge
ordered Tyga to pay up for not returning a diamond Cuban link chain
he borrowed in 2012, and for failing to pay for a diamond pantheon
watch.
The rapper was also recently ordered to pay bosses at F&S
Investment Properties $186,276 after they accused him of breaking
their rental agreement relating to the office space he used to
launch his Egypt Kings fashion label.
He recently received a professional boost however, when Kylie's
brother-in-law Kanye West announced he was signing him to his
G.O.O.D. record label.
