Kristin Cavallari: 'I shed tears for my brother on New Year's Eve'
Reality star Kristin Cavallari admits she shed a few tears on New Year's Eve, following the death of her brother Michael.
The 28-year-old's family was left devastated when Michael's body was discovered on 10 December (15), weeks after he was reported missing in Utah.
While the star and her loved ones await the autopsy report, Kristin
has been doing her best to continue with daily life and making the
holidays special for her three children with husband Jay Cutler;
sons Camden, three and Jaxon, 19-months, and five-week-old daughter
Saylor.
For New Year's Eve (31Dec15), the couple decided to have a low-key
evening out, and it proved to be quite emotional for Kristin at
times.
"Last night was the second time I've put makeup on in over 5 weeks
and left the house (besides the grocery store and taking Cam to
school)," she wrote on Instagram on Friday (01Jan16), alongside a
photograph of her and Jay as she held a cocktail while wearing a
black ensemble.
"Even though I shed a few tears, it was a really nice night and
felt good to be out. 2015 brought my sweet, baby girl but it also
took my brother's life. Hoping for no extreme highs and lows this
year. Happy new year, everyone."
Kristin welcomed her daughter on 23 November (15), just days before
Michael went missing, and she recently credited her baby girl with
giving her some much needed strength during such a difficult
time.
"My little angel, Saylor," she captioned an Instagram picture of
her baby's legs and feet. "She has been my light throughout this
whole thing and has given me so much strength. Thank you baby girl
for coming when u did. (sic)."
Kristin married Chicago Bears quarterback Jay in 2013, having
welcomed first child Camden together the previous year.
