Kristen Stewart's stylist cringed at Chanel cuts
Kristen Stewart’s stylist worried that Karl Lagerfeld was going to kill her when the actress cut up a Chanel T-shirt.
Fashionista Tara Swennen has worked with the Twilight actress for over a decade, so has of course been on hand to help Kristen out with her Cannes Film Festival looks.
Rocking her new blonde, sheared hair do this year (16), the darling
of Chanel has been putting her own spin on some classic
clothes.
"We cut it that morning," Tara told telegraph.co.uk of the white
cropped tee Kristen recently wore with a Chanel pencil skirt. "I
would easily say about seven or eight inches. It always makes me
cringe a little bit, like is Karl going to come kill me at some
point. But it's a T-shirt, it wasn't that bad. We had a sweater
option and it wasn't right with the weather, so we just decided to
slash a shirt. It's very Kristen."
However the T-shirt worked so well, Kristen wore it again at the
Opening Ceremony Gala dinner, teamed with a striped Barrie
miniskirt and a pair of chequered Vans.
Since arriving in Cannes earlier this week (beg9May16) to promote
new Woody Allen movie Cafe Society, Kristen has rocked more
glamorous looks, including a sheer black Chanel blouse teamed with
a floor sweeping skirt form the fashion house.
To add edge to the look, Kristen went for grungy black eyes and
pillar box red lips.
Her hair stylist Adir Aberger, who was aiming for a Debbie Harry
blonde with the new colour, adores working with the
26-year-old.
“Kristen is the most amazing collaborator - she gives you your
freedom, but at the same time, she has a voice so she always looks
like her,” Adir smiled.
