Kris Jenner breaks her silence after Kim Kardashian robbery
Kris Jenner broke her silence after her daughter Kim Kardashian was the victim of an armed robbery by posting a touching quote on Instagram.
The momager has remained resolutely silent over the incident since Kim was bound, gagged, and held at gunpoint in her private apartment in Paris, France, as thieves made off with jewelry and cellphones last week (ends07Oct16).
But Kris made the decision to stage a return to social media by
sharing a sweet message reminding fans of just how much she loves
her offspring.
"Every morning is a reminder of how blessed we are," the quote
read. "Today I am grateful for my family, who I love more than
words can explain. Count your blessings, be grateful always, and
cherish every moment you spend with your loved ones."
She captioned the message with several hashtags, "#blessed #family
#love #grateful."
The entire Kardashian family has taken a step back from social
media following the traumatic robbery. Kim herself hasn't tweeted
since 2 October, the day before the incident, while sisters
Kourtney and Khloe have also been much more selective about what
they are posting.
It was claimed after the robbery that Kim blamed herself because
she had been sharing pictures of her various jewels and other
expensive items on her online accounts.
Insiders told TMZ.com the 35-year-old reality star has vowed to
change her ways when she does return to social media, telling her
inner circle: "Material things mean nothing. It’s not all about the
money. It’s not worth it.”
On Monday (10Oct16) it was reported that a diamond cross necklace
taken in the robbery has been retrieved by French police, after a
passerby found it outside the complex the day after the attack.
The pendant was turned over to police, who are now examining the
piece for any traces of DNA to help them track down the suspects,
who remain on the run.
According to TMZ.com, the necklace was made by celebrity jeweller
Jacob and Co. and is worth almost $33,200 .
