Kit Harington: 'I ruined my proposal plans because I couldn't wait'

Game Of Thrones hunk Kit Harington was so excited to ask former co-star Rose Leslie to marry him, he ruined his own romantic plans.

The actor had hoped to "string up some lights" and really wow his girl as he got down on bended knee - but a perfect night out in the country changed all that.

In a taped interview for The Jonathan Ross Show, which will air in the U.K. on Saturday (07Oct17), Kit explains, "I did have some plans to do it; I was going to string up some lights in some trees and do all the romantic stuff but we were in the country and we were under this beautiful night sky and had a log fire burning and red wine and I blew my load early.

"I was meant to do it the day after, with the lights. What I meant to say was, I popped my question a bit early. Not blew my load."

The actors recently announced their engagement in The Times, and now Harington is in talks with a Game of Thrones producer to plan a wedding around the cast's schedule for the final season of the fantasy series.

"I rang him up and I said, 'I’m getting married and it’s your fault actually...'," Kit laughs. "I was like, ‘You need to factor in a Game of Thrones wedding by the way'. They (the cast) have all got to be there so the whole thing has got to shut down."

But there's little chance Kit will be able to pull off a Game of Thrones wedding ceremony when he and his actress bride tie the knot.

"There is absolutely no chance of me convincing her of that,” he tells Ross.
