Kim Kardashian slams Barack Obama over Kanye West comment
Reality TV star Kim Kardashian has criticized President Barack Obama for insulting her rapper husband Kanye West, insisting the leader should not comment on pop culture.
West was furious after Obama branded him a "jacka**" for interrupting Taylor Swift's speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, and the hip-hop star was slighted again last year (13) when the president accused the couple of encouraging youngsters to become obsessed with wealth and fame.
Kardashian has now urged Obama to keep his thoughts on popular
culture to himself, telling Britain's GQ magazine, "I don't think
it's very appropriate for the president of the United States to be
commenting on pop culture... I mean, calling people 'jacka**'?... I
guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion - even him. I was
just like, 'Why is he even commenting on this?'"
Obama made the "jacka**" remark to an aide as he prepared for an
interview but it was unwittingly caught on camera and later
released.
