Blake Lively bakes beehive cake for Beyonce's birthday

Actress Blake Lively celebrated superstar pal Beyonce's 33rd birthday on Thursday (04Sep14) by baking her a cake in the shape of a beehive.

The Crazy In Love hitmaker and her rapper husband Jay Z befriended Lively after recruiting her to star alongside the musicians and the likes of Sean Penn, Don Cheadle and Jake Gyllenhaal in a Bonnie and Clyde-style heist promo for their On the Run joint tour earlier this summer (14).

The birthday girl celebrated her big day with a beach vacation with her family in Corsica, France, but Lively made a point of marking her new friend's special occasion by sharing a short Instagram.com video of the tasty honey-glazed treat she had baked in Beyonce's honor.

In a post on her Preserve lifestyle blog, Lively wrote, "In honor of the Queen of all Bs... I had to make this Meyer Lemon Honey cake. Happy Birthday Beyonce!!! Xxo Blake."

Ironically, Lively was left in agony during a recent photoshoot for her Preserve website after she was stung by a bee on the eve of her 27th birthday last month (Aug14).
