Kim Kardashian dismisses West proposal rumors

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian has brushed off rumors she's secretly engaged to rapper Kanye West.

The Stronger hitmaker whisked Kardashian off to Italy for a romantic weekend vacation earlier this month (Oct12) to celebrate her 32nd birthday and the beauty was subsequently spotted wearing a large diamond ring on her right pinky finger, prompting fans to speculate about a possible proposal.

American Idol host Ryan Seacrest, who produces the Keeping Up With the Kardashians reality series, fueled the claims by appearing to hint at some insider information, telling listeners on his KIIS FM radio show, "I think we could definitely see an update on this story on Monday."

But Kardashian - who is in the process of divorcing basketball player Kris Humphries - has laughed off the wedding speculation and blames her pal Seacrest for spreading the false gossip.

She tells Eonline.com, "I don't know where Ryan came up with that. Ryan, I'm so mad at you, where did you come up with that? You're starting rumors."

And she is adamant there is no truth to the marriage reports: "It's just a rumor. But I had an amazing birthday, very intimate and very special."

Kardashian filed papers to end her 72-day union to Humphries last Halloween (31Oct11) and began dating longtime friend West earlier this year (12).
