Kid Cudi uses Usain Bolt photo to share news his album is complete
Kid Cudi used Usain Bolt’s latest Olympic gold medal win to announce his new album is finished.
The hip hop star was just one of the millions of people tuning in to watch the Jamaican athlete sprint 100 meters to victory in Rio, Brazil, on Sunday night (14Aug16), and chose to celebrate the sportsman's success by sharing his own.
Taking to Twitter, Cudi posted a photo of Usain grinning as he
reached the track finish line to reveal the good news about his new
material, which was previously announced as being titled Passion,
Pain & Demon Slayin'.
“Albums finished (sic)”, he captioned the action shot complete with
a rose and smiley face emojis.
“Couldn't feel more blessed right now. I love yall so much man. Ima
have some info this week about everything, release date, etc.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart for always showing me love
and support. Overwhelmed as always by you all. Can't believe were
here (sic)”.
His upcoming record is a follow-up to 2015’s Speedin' Bullet 2
Heaven and last month (Jul16) Cudi announced that musician and
producer Pharrell Williams will be featuring on the album. Other
names thrown into the mix so far include Andre 3000, one half of
OutKast and provider of hits such as Hey Ya! and Roses. Blink 182
drummer Travis Barker could be another collaborator, having
previously worked with Cudi on his track Cudi the Kid along with on
Travis’ record Give the Drummer Some.
