Khloe Kardashian turned to fertility treatments to save troubled marriage
Khloe Kardashian thought getting pregnant would save her marriage to Lamar Odom.
The 31-year-old reality star tied the knot with the former basketball player in 2009, however, they separated in December, 2013.
Around two years after the wedding, rumors started circulating
suggesting Lamar was cheating on Khloe and using drugs, so she
tried everything to prevent a breakup.
And on Wednesday's (23Mar16) episode of her talk show Kocktails
with Khloe, she revealed to her guests she even underwent IVF
treatment as an attempt to keep them together.
“I do want to have a baby," she said. "I’ve tried IVF and all
that."
Khloe confessed the desperation she felt to save her marriage
prompted an almost primal urge to get pregnant.
“Right now in my life, I don’t want to just have a baby. I still
want to have like my family... but at the time I was, like, ugh,
gotta have a baby," she described. "That’s all I wanted at that
time.
“I thought maybe it (getting pregnant) would, like, fix the
situation."
In hindsight, Khloe thinks the way she suffered to conceive was
silly and immature.
“I’m also happy it didn’t happen because I was young," she said. "I
was 27 and I thought 'oh my god a baby will fix this.'"
"(But) It’s not going to fix that," she sighed.
Although she has previously insisted they are no longer
romantically involved, Khloe is still legally married to Lamar -
she put their divorce on hold to nurse him back to health after he
fell into a coma following a drug overdose in a Nevada brothel last
October (15). Since their split just over two years ago, Khloe has
had failed relationships with rapper French Montana and
professional athlete James Harden.
