Khloe Kardashian sued over fireworks display
Troubled reality TV star Khloe Kardashian is facing a lawsuit over a birthday party fireworks display.
Kim Kardashian's sister, who has been tending to her estranged husband Lamar Odom since his hospitalisation last week (ends18Oct15), has been hit with legal action over a 15-minute midnight fireworks display in August (15).
Kardashian threw a party on a yacht off the coast of California to
celebrate her then-boyfriend James Harden's birthday and sparked
complaints from locals with the loud display.
James Ferguson, who lives nearby, has now filed a lawsuit in a
small claims court alleging the explosions created "a disturbance
that harmed our family and pet," and he wants $7,500, according to
TMZ.com.
The police investigated the complaints, but Kardashian was not
charged with any offence.
She has reportedly split from Harden in the aftermath of Odom's
hospitalisation, and is said to be giving their marriage another
go. They filed for divorce in 2013, but have now reportedly signed
a petition to withdraw the papers.
Odom was airlifted to a Los Angeles hospital from Las Vegas earlier
this week (beg19Oct15) and his condition is said to be improving
after he was found unconscious at a brothel in Nevada.
