Kendall Jenner to follow in Cindy Crawford's footsteps with Pepsi ad

Kendall Jenner is following in Cindy Crawford's fashionable footsteps by starring in a Pepsi commercial.

The model has been compared to many iconic supermodels from the 1990s, including Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington, but Kendall's latest campaign will no doubt prompt many fashion experts to link her to another major model - she is starring in an ad for the American soft drink company, just like Cindy did back in 1992.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star posted a teaser clip of the ad on her Instagram page on Thursday (30Mar17), sharing her enthusiasm for the project.

"I'm excited about this one. Live for now. See more of my ad with @Pepsi next week #PepsiMoment," she wrote alongside the video.

And fans have been quick to point out the similarities between Kendall and Cindy's campaigns, with the 21-year-old wearing an all-denim look and a white tank top, just like 51-year-old Cindy did in her ad, which aired during the Super Bowl.

But, unlike Cindy's super sexy look in the commercial, it appears Pepsi is trying to engage with a younger generation with the new campaign, as Kendall is seen walking down a street, flanked by a group of young people who are carrying signs with slogans such as "Join the Conversation" and the peace symbol.

Cindy's Pepsi campaign has been remade three times in different formats since it first aired, including in a parody version for James Corden's The Late Late Show which aired last year (16).
