Kendall Jenner obtains permanent restraining order against obsessed fan
Kendall Jenner has been granted a permanent restraining order against a man who has allegedly been bombarding her with love letters.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star went to court last month (Jul17) to obtain a restraining order against Thomas Hummel, who had reportedly been professing his love for the reality star since February (17).
However, Hummel's messages eventually turned nasty as he started insulting Kendall and her mother, Kris Jenner.
A lawyer for Kim Kardashian's sister returned to court on Wednesday (02Aug17), when the protective order was made permanent. Hummel has been ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from Kendall at all times, while he is also banned from owning any guns during the three-year period, according to TMZ.
This isn't the first time Kendall has had to obtain a restraining order against a devotee - last year (16), she faced off against alleged stalker Shavaughn McKenzie in court, following his arrest for trespassing at her Hollywood Hills home in August, 2016 after allegedly shadowing her through a security gate when she arrived home in her car.
Addressing the scary encounter with McKenzie during a previous episode of her family reality show, Jenner said, "They (stalkers and obsessed fans) don't realize that they don't actually know you... So when he came into my house, he thought it was OK. He literally talked to me like I knew who he was."
McKenzie was handed a five-year restraining order, which bans him from approaching Kendall or contacting her, in October (16).
