Singer Kelis showed off her culinary skills during the South by Southwest festival last week (13-14Mar14), when she offered fans a taste of her homemade cooking from a food truck.

The Milkshake hitmaker took to the streets of Austin, Texas to serve up some of her favorite dishes for eager fans and foodies alike.

Kelis, a certified Le Cordon Bleu chef, made various stops in the city to personally hand out jerk ribs, duck confit sliders, shredded beef sliders and coleslaw, among other delights, for free.

The singer has been focusing on her culinary career for the past few years, writing a cookbook and scoring her own food show, Saucy & Sweet, on cable network The Cooking Channel.

Kelis also took the stage at three different showcases at the popular music festival, marking her her first gigs in America in more than three years.

Her new album, aptly titled Food, will be released on 22 April (14).
