Katy Perry planning birthday bash in Morocco - report

Katy Perry is planning to celebrate her 30th birthday in Morocco after security fears forced her to rethink party plans in Egypt.

Sources tell Us Weekly the pop star, who hits the age milestone at the weekend (25Oct14) is putting the finishing touches to a big bash in Marrakech, where she's currently holidaying with family members and friends.

Meanwhile, back home in California, bosses at pizza chain Shakey's are planning to mark Perry's big day by posting her name on their birthday marquees outside all their restaurants after she posted a tweet earlier this week (19Oct14), which read: "All I want for my birthday is my name on the Shakey's Pizza marquee on Santa Monica Blvd. Please."

Her best pal, Sophia Rossi, made her wish a reality and shared an image of a Shakey's Pizza marquee which read: "Happy Birthday Katy Perry From Sophia."

Perry later responded, "KICKING OFF BIRTHDAY WEEK RIGHT! This signage is a bucket list dream come true!!! SHOUT OUT TO ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS FOR KILLING THE GIFT GAME."
