Taylor Swift's Blank Space house destroyed in mystery blaze
An elaborate New York mansion featured in Taylor Swift's Blank Space music video has been severely damaged by fire.
A huge blaze broke out at The Winfield Mansion at Glen Cove on Long Island on Wednesday (28Jan15). It took 150 firefighters over two hours to put out.
An investigation into the cause of the mystery incident is ongoing,
but locals reportedly believe it could have something to do with
the pad's history as a haunted house.
The home was built in 1916 by Frank Winfield Woolworth, of the
family behind the Woolworth's retail stores, after their previous
pad was destroyed by a blaze. His second daughter allegedly
committed suicide at the home in May, 1917 and her spirit is said
to have haunted the place ever since.
In the Blank Space video, which was released in November (14),
Swift lives the high life with model Sean O'Pry in the stately
home, riding horses, bicycles and dancing in a grand ballroom. The
promo then takes a dark turn as the singer flies into a rage and
throws flower pots, brandishes a butcher's knife and destroys
paintings of her lover.
