Katy Perry and John Mayer split - report

Katy Perry and John Mayer have ended their relationship, according to a report.

Editors at E! Online report the couple split last week (ends24Feb14).

The pop star began dating Mayer in August, 2012, but they parted ways early last year (13) before reviving the relationship over the summer (13).

The rocker was noticeably absent during Perry's trip to Europe this month (Feb14) during which she attended the BRIT Awards in London solo.

News of the split comes just days after Perry sparked engagement rumours by sporting a large diamond ring on her left hand.

The Roar star previously said of her relationship with Mayer, "(It is) a rad, mature relationship... He's just a fantastic partner. I've been a fan of his for such a long time. He's got a brilliant, brilliant mind."

The stars recently stepped up their romance by recording a duet, Who You Love, and performing together.
