Katie Holmes splits from fashion label partner

Actress Katie Holmes has parted ways with her fashion collaborator Jeanne Yang, five years after launching their joint clothing label.

The Batman Begins star teamed up with her stylist best friend to create Holmes & Yang in 2009, but their professional relationship is now no more.

Holmes' representative says, "The Holmes & Yang partnership has ended."

Sources claim the pressures of running a business together while living on opposite coasts contributed to the split.

An insider tells the New York Post, "Katie's living in New York and Jeanne's living in L.A., which hasn't made it easier."

The status of the Holmes & Yang label remains unknown, although items from the brand are no longer on sale at luxury department store Barneys New York, where it was previously being sold exclusively.
