Jennette McCurdy dumped basketball star Andre Drummond over lack of chemistry

Actress Jennette Mccurdy ended her brief romance with basketball star Andre Drummond due to a lack of chemistry.

The iCarly star, 21, struck up a flirty friendship with the Detroit Pistons player over Twitter.com last summer (13) after the sportsman made it known to fans that he had a big crush on her.

They went public with their fledgling relationship in September (13) when they were photographed leaving a Los Angeles restaurant together, hand-in-hand, but McCurdy admits their romance fizzled out after a disappointing first kiss - and she ended up dumping the 20 year old days later over the phone.

Opening up to host Pete Holmes on his Nerdist.com podcast, she said, "It only lasted like a week, it was really short."

Asked about their initial smooch, she replied, "It just didn't go great... no sparks. The mouths... the shapes weren't right."
