Kate Moss: 'Johnny Depp helped me cope with fame'

British supermodel Kate Moss will always be grateful to her ex-boyfriend Johnny Depp for helping her cope with life in the spotlight during her first few years of fame.

The catwalk beauty dated the Hollywood actor between 1994 and 1998, and they were rumored to have been engaged before their split.

Moss has now revealed Depp helped her learn how to deal with fame and gave her valuable advice which she still finds useful.

In her new book, Kate: The Kate Moss Book, she writes, "I was lucky to be with Johnny at that stage. He taught me a lot about fame. He told me 'never complain, never explain'. That's why I don't use Twitter and things like that. I don't want people to know what is true all the time and that's what keeps the mystery."
