Kate Beckinsale thrilled with co-star's puppy love gift

Actress Kate Beckinsale has credited her The Trials Of Cate Mccall co-star, Anna Anissimova, with giving her the best wrap gift ever - a pet.

The Underworld star admits she bonded with the former model on the set of the drama, in which the Brit plays a lawyer in recovery, and her new pal had a very special present for her when filming wrapped.

Beckinsale tells C magazine, "I think I must have been saying 'I want a Pomeranian dog' on set so many times without realising it, that she got me one.

"I don't usually approve of people giving animals as presents, but I think she was just trying to put me out of my misery... We are besotted... (It was) the most amazing wrap present."
