Kanye West supports floating pool initiative

Rapper Kanye West has thrown his support behind a floating swimming pool initiative in New York City.

The Stronger hitmaker attended an event in Brooklyn on Wednesday (29Oct14) to raise awareness for the project and to help architect and co-founder Dong-Ping Wong collect the $21 million needed to fund the proposal.

The founders behind +POOL hope to create a floating Olympic-sized swimming pool on Manhattan's East River by 2016, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.

The pool, which will be moored near the Brooklyn Bridge, would be filled with gallons of filtered river water and divided into zones to cater for different types of swimmers.
