Kacey Musgraves clashed with record label bosses over song lyrics

Country music singer Kacey Musgraves clashed with record label bosses over the provocative lyrics of her single Biscuits.

The Merry Go Round singer refused to change the line "P**sing in my yard ain't gonna make yours any greener", when music executives told her it might offend some of her more conservative fans.

She tells Rolling Stone magazine, "I'm like, 'Sorry, no'. People are so worried about offending that they water down everything.

"(I said), 'Come to a show, and that's the line everyone loves. Don't take that away from me'."

Musgraves also clashed with label chiefs when they wanted to change the release date of her new album, Pageant Material, from June (15) to September (15).

She adds, "(I told them), 'Not gonna happen'."
